When our parents opened Imperial Diner in 1972, it was a small place dedicated

to serving fresh, delicious food at a reasonable price. Now, fifty years later, we

have grown a bit but still have the same goal at heart. With our full-service craft

bar, gelato station, and breezy outdoor patio for warm weather dining, we

specialize in providing an elevated dining experience punctuated by professional

service, warm hospitality, and a genuine sense of community. All in a classic

American diner setting!


What sets the food apart is an unwavering attention to detail by our talented

culinary team to the sourcing of ingredients and preparation of each and every

dish. Unlike many competitors, Imperial Diner has always favored using the best

ingredients possible – from the freshest seafood and vegetables to wild-caught

shrimp to Georges Banks filets of sole to USDA Certified Prime beef. And we are

all about keeping up with changing tastes by constantly refreshing our menus

with new and exciting “of the moment” dishes (our Avocado Toast is a perfect

example!).


Moreover, most items on the menus reflect “scratch cooking” at its finest, with

stocks, soups, all salad dressings, fresh mashed potatoes, cole slaw, a signature

baked-to-order individual spinach pie and a whole lot more – all homemade,

including the challah bread for the French Toast and the luscious array of freshly-

made house-decorated cakes and pie.


For your convenience we recently installed a Curbside Pickup for those days

when you are too busy to cook but still need a nutritious and tasty meal to bring

home to your family. Click on “Order Online,” or call us at 516-868-0303,

and place your order. Then, head over to downtown Freeport and pull into our

special, dedicated lane on the east side of the diner and one of our friendly staff

will deliver your order directly to your car! (we also deliver via Uber Eats).

Speaking of our website, please check out the “New Happenings” section each

time you visit. We’ll be posting the latest in specials, promotions, and exciting food &

wine programs that are a complement to our regular menus. Lastly, we are now

taking reservations, which can be made simply by clicking the “Reservations”

button on our website.
